Hey, I’m Kerri L Watt,

I’m an independent Journalist, Editor and Media Strategy Consultant based in the UK.

I split my time between reporting on issues that matter, running the New Forest Dispatch, and working with organisations, marketing teams and business leaders on media strategy and communications.

Over the past 17 years I’ve worked across journalism, PR and communications, giving me a unique perspective on how stories are created, shared and understood. Along the way I’ve been fortunate to work with organisations ranging from household-name brands and public sector bodies to small businesses and charities.

Today, my journalism focuses on local news, public services, local government, and community issues.

Alongside this, I provide media advisory support, training and consultancy for organisations that want to land media coverage, raise their profile, clearer messaging, and a better understanding of how the media works.

I’m also the author of the UK and US bestselling PR book, Get a YES! from the press, sharing the advice that has helped thousands of business owners understand how to attract media attion and tell their stories more effectively.
